# Rate limits

The request limits on the Assyro public data API and what happens when you reach them.

**Request limits by caller**

| Caller | Limit |
|---|---|
| Anonymous | 100 requests per minute per IP address |

Over the limit, the API answers `429` with the `rate_limited` error code, which is retryable: wait a few seconds and send the request again. Request bodies are limited to 64 KiB.
