Part 16.2 — Prohibition — animal testing
This section prohibits any person from conducting animal tests that cause pain, suffering, or injury (physical or mental) if the purpose is to meet cosmetic safety requirements under domestic or foreign law.

- No person shall conduct a test on an animal that could cause pain, suffering or injury, whether physical or mental, to the animal.
- This prohibition applies if the test's purpose is to meet a cosmetic requirement under this Act or its regulations.
- This prohibition also applies if the test's purpose is to meet a cosmetic safety requirement under foreign law.
