Part 16 — Prohibited sales of cosmetics
This section prohibits the sale of cosmetics that are harmful, contaminated, or produced/stored under unsanitary conditions, ensuring consumer safety.
What this part covers
- No person shall sell any cosmetic that contains any substance that may cause injury to the health of the user when used according to directions or customary methods.
- No person shall sell any cosmetic that consists in whole or in part of any filthy or decomposed substance or of any foreign matter.
- No person shall sell any cosmetic that was manufactured, prepared, preserved, packaged, or stored under unsanitary conditions.
